What happened?:

Kidde and Garrison Fire Extinguishers, Health Canada and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission have issued recall notices affecting nearly 40 million small (typically 5 or 10 BC rated) portable fire extinguishers produced between 1 January 1973 and 22 September 2017 and sold under a number of model names. The fire extinguishers can become clogged or require excessive force to discharge and can fail to activate during a fire emergency. In addition, the nozzle can detach with enough force to pose an impact hazard.

Follow links on Kidde website to notify Kidde and obtain a replacement for affected models.
